Q: What is Paypal?

A:
Paypal is a 3rd party company that specializes in secure online payments. They have over 60 Million members worldwide, and are trusted and respected when dealing with your payment details.
If you decide to become a Premium member with Whispers4u, you will need to create a Paypal account if you do not already have one. This can be done during the premium member upgrade process in "My Account" and you will need a credit or debit card.
Your Paypal account and password are separate to your Whispers4u account and password and should never be disclosed to anyone.
Q: I do not have a credit card....can I pay by cheque?

A:
Yes. If you wish to upgrade your account and do not have a credit card, then you can send us a personal cheque instead.
We charge in British Pounds Sterling but we can also accept personal cheques in US Dollars or Euro.
Please note: If you are sending a Postal Money Order, we can only accept UK Postal Orders or International Money Orders.

Do not forget to include a note with your Username and email address. As soon as your cheque clears through the bank, your account will be upgraded.
Q: How do I cancel a subscription?

A:
There are two ways to cancel your subscription.
a) Click the "Cancel" button, found at the bottom of the page under "My Account" when you login to your whispers4u account. This will take you to the Paypal page where you should enter your Paypal account details and password. You will then be asked to confirm the cancellation. Click this and your subscription will be cancelled.

b) Login to Paypal at https://www.paypal.com . Search your history for subscriptions. Once you have found the subscription to "SM Media", click the Details link. From there you will have the option to cancel the subscription.
PLEASE NOTE:
To avoid re-billing you must cancel your subscription at least one day before you are due to be re-billed. For the exact date when you are due to be billed, click the Details link at the side of your active subscription in your Paypal account. We are unable to give refunds for unused days of your subscription.
If you have problems using the Paypal system, you should contact Paypal themselves and not us.
Q: I cannot upload a photo...can you help?

A:
Yes. Please scan your photos and send via email to photos@whispers4u.com.
Alternatively, you can send us your photos via the post. Please enclose a self stamped addressed envelope so that we can return your photos to you.

Q: Why haven't my photos been added to my profile?
I sent my photos to be added to my profile. As yet they have not been added. Am I being impatient or have you not received them?
A:
We do receive a great deal of enquiries regarding photos. The waiting time can depend on the number of photos we receive in any one day, as they have to be resized or scanned by our graphics department.
In general, your photos should be added within 5 working days of us receiving them.
Please do bear with us, as we are working behind the scenes....
Q: My Whisper Mail is missing....where is it?

A:
The mail that goes to your email address is an auto generated mail that gets sent when someone sends you Whisper Mail.
On occasions we are targeted by Spam Abusers. Our customer service team work very hard to identify these people and delete any suspicious or fraudulent emails from the system. This is for your protection, and is probably why you find that your Inbox is empty when you get there.
Q: When I try to login to the chatroom, it says wrong password.....whats wrong?

A:
The password field is case sensitive, which means that you have to type the password with any captital letters that you may have in your password. Please ensure that you do not have Caps Lock on, on your keyboard.
Q: How do I change my Password and other details?

A:
Click "My Profile". On this page you will see red links to the right of the page. Click these to goto the relevent area to change your details.
Q: I cannot login...whats wrong?
.
A:
It sounds silly, but ensure that you are typing the username and password correctly.
If you still cannot login, ensure that you have Cookies and Javascript enabled in your browser settings. Whispers4u will not work if these have been disabled.
Always update your browser to the latest version, as known bugs and other security issues are always fixed.
Q: Is Whispers4u anonymous?

A:
Yes. You remain anonymous hiding behind your Screen Name until such a time when you feel trusting enough to give out your own email address or phone number.
We provide email and chatroom facilities that are monitored for abuse so we advise you to use them until you get to know someone first, before using your own private email.
NEVER give out your personal details such as address, bank account, etc.
Q: How do I remove my profile completely from the system?

A:
Please contact us, and tell us you wish to be removed. You must include your Username and Email address.
Q: Messages are disappearing from my Outbox. Why is this?
.
A:
Messages that you have sent to other people will stay in your Outbox until the other person has deleted it from their Inbox.
Old messages older than 3 months are also removed by us to help keep the database running smoothly.
Q: What appears on my Bank/Credit Card statement ?
.
A:
The name "PAYPAL: SM MEDIA" will appear on your statement when you subscribe to Whispers4u.
